Carlos’ main platform is that none of us chose to eat meat and dairy
His multi-film festival award winning music video/mini documentary, “It’s OK To Love Me,” by Monkeys with Drums (www.MonkeysWithDrums.com), is a powerful “Anthem for Equality.” It captures the profound injustices to humans, animals and the planet in a way never seen or heard before. The filmmakers bring a heightened awareness to the many forms of oppression on the planet, interspersed with epic, original music, humor and poignancy. “It’s OK To Love Me” is a call to let go of separation and recognize that all oppression shares the same root, and that we must all rise together. Carlos is currently on a solo tour promoting the video that expresses everything he stands for. In 2024 the live band will be on the road.
He is a trained drum-kit and ethnic hand drummer/percussionist born in New York City, who found his way to Los Angeles and then to Maui. Performances with countless artists around the world, including Grammy winning Maui residents, Mick Fleetwood, George Kahumoku Jr. and John Cruz are part of his music career.
Carlos is available to speak at socially relevant, equality-themed and vegan events. His talks even address the youngest minds. They are unique in their own way and filled with humor, activism and music.
